Riding Tip #39 - Countersteering inspired turning

Please also watch the video: "The Physics of Countersteering"

Another thing that is present and that we can manipulate on an EUC is the fact that we can "press down" on one pedal more than the other by shifting the weight and increase the tilting of the wheel

We can also "draw the wheel back" and use the extra power from the lower leg push in combination with an acceleration to further enhance the control and turning …
This is the same on skis and monoski!

Riding tip #32 - Please do not ride with straight legs!

pdf version

some comments from FB

I think that we can all agree on the fact that the better you ride, the "slower" it feels
It is very easy to "cruise slowly at 40" without even thinking about it
If you ride at 43 in the forest you feel safe on an open road at 40 ....

but this habit and thinking is sooo fucking dangerous!!!

So either lock the machine down to 10 km/h and ride with your hands in your pockets and with no helmet or other protections

OR

put on the gear and ride for real

...and remember!

                                           - asphalt is the hardest to fall on!
                                           - the electronic components and design is not military grade!
                                           - city people stare at their phones and are often stressed out!
